How can you find freedom in God’s unlimited time?

Time and God
Have you ever had the experience of having more time than you thought after you’d prayed about the situation? What happened? If you’ve never experienced this, do you believe that God wants to take control of your time? Why or why not?
Seeing Time Differently
Draw a square on your page. This box represents your daily allotment of time. Now put some bowling balls in the box. Those are the big items on your to-do list. Now put in some tennis balls. These are the activities that don’t take as much time. Now put in some golf balls. These represent little tasks on your list. Now fill in the spaces with grains of sand. These are the moments you spend worrying about not having enough time. Reflect on what this drawing says to you about your concept of time. What is God saying to you about time?
Experiencing the Present Moment
This is an opportunity for you to experience the present moment. Read this through first. Sit quietly. Listen to the sounds around you. Acknowledge them and then let them go. Feel the chair under you. Experience your body position, then let it go. Breathe in and say, Breathing in God’s love. Breathe out and say, Breathing out all my worries. Do this until you feel you’re finished. How long were you in the present moment? Reflect how it made you feel.
