Get Honest About Control
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. —Isaiah 41:10
Name a situation in your life over which you have no control. How does the lack of control make you feel?
Reflect on a situation in your life where you have no control and journal about it. How do you feel about that situation? Reflect on how God could deal with the situation. How does the idea of letting it go and giving it to God make you feel?
Pray for Help
Loving God, I know that I lose sight of you when I am in a situation that I can’t control (name the situation). Lift me from my despair, and fill me with hope. (Continue to pray about the situation, allowing God to give you new insight on how to deal with it.)
