Where in your life do you feel you need to remain in control?

Need for Control
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. —Proverbs 3:5-6
Would you say you are a person who likes to be in control? Why or why not? What things do you feel you need to control? In which areas of your life are you most anxious?
Evaluate Your Comfort Level
Write down the following headings on a piece of paper or in your journal: Relationships, Workplace, Environment, Church/Spiritual Activities, Future Plans. Now reflect on how much control you have in each area of your life and how you feel about the control you have.
Pray for Insight
Faithful God, help me to see where I am hanging on too much to control in my life. Help me see how this is affecting my relationships with those around me. Give me the courage to let go of my need to control. (Continue to pray about the areas of your life where you think you are excluding God.)
