Moving Toward God
What experiences or situations prompt you to pray to God? Why?
Opening the Door to Jesus
Revelation 3:20 presents you with an image of Jesus standing at a door and knocking. This powerful image reminds you that Jesus invites you to open the door to him. Reflect on this idea, imagining that you are on the other side of the door. Journal about why Jesus would knock on your door. What kind of response does he expect from you? How do you feel about this encounter?
Loving God, here I am. Speak to me. Tell me what you want of me. (Pause and reflect.) Today I come to you for (tell God what you need in your life right now).
Reasons to Pray
Why do you pray? Do you find yourself praying only when you want something? How can you make prayer a part of your everyday life?
