How does your stress style affect your spiritual life?

Where is God?
When you are under a lot of stress, does God seem close or far away? How so?
Know and Trust God
Start by making a list of all that you can say you absolutely know about God. For example, you might start with, “I know that God loves me.” When you come to the end of that list, make another list of everything you want God to do to help you with the stressors in your life. For example, you might write, “I want God to change my attitude toward my sister-in-law.” Now prayerfully examine what you need to do to deal with the stressors in your life. “I need to…” Write a prayer about your stressors, using the ACTS formula (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication.)
Bring Me Closer
Prayer Moment: “God of Love, remind me that you are with me in the midst of all the challenges in my life. By your Spirit, open my being to knowing your presence every moment, especially when (name a stressor). Fill me with a fresh outpouring of your love.” (Continue to pray about what you desire from God in relationship to your stressor.)
